This postdoctoral position is in the context of a collaborative project in conjunction with one other partners, Laboratoire des Signaux et Systèmes in CentraleSupélec. It represents a real opportunity to see high impacted research results in the domain of intelligent transportation system.
This research will basically focus on the infotainment applications in the context of hybrid vehicular networks and LTE-D2D networks, such as video downloading or data content fetching. The privacy issue is the main aspect to address. We propose to use both cluster structure and integration of vehicular networks and LTE-D2D to cache and share content. The first problem is to define the privacy model in in the context of hybrid V2X, and LTE-D2D networks. The second problem is to study the data fetching strategy, considering privacy requirement, non-constant data rate, and organization of clusters in VANETs.
The postdoc candidate will be involved in the following tasks:
- Study and proposition of the privacy models and privacy-preserving mechanisms in the context of hybrid V2X, and LTE-D2D networks
- Study of existing data fetching strategies in the context of content caching and sharing, and the proposition of new ones
- Model of the problem
- Performance evaluation (Analytical and simulation analysis)
Background of the candidate
The candidate must have a PhD in networking or computer science with background in privacy and vehicular networks. She/He must have a good knowledge of privacy mechanisms and model. Knowledge in performance evaluation, optimization, and modeling will be greatly appreciated as well as programming and simulation skills.
